MANILA, Philippines – ALEXA Gutierrez, wife of former child star Elvis Gutierrez, died on Saturday, July 28 after a short battle with leukemia. 

In an Instagram post, actress Ruffa Gutierrez announced the passing of her sister-in-law on Instagram. 

“I am still trying to process and accept that you are no longer with us. 💔 It’s so hard… 😭 Words cannot express how heartbroken and shocked I am,” she said. 

“I love you so much my beautiful, irreplaceable Alexa. You will forever be in my thoughts and in my heart. Until we cross paths again… 🕊️” she said. 

Born Alexandra Joelle Uichico on July 1, 1986, Alexa came from a well-to-do clan from Ilo-ilo. She eventually became a model and an entrepreneur, eventually married Elvis and had two kids Aria and Ezra. 

Elvis is the third child of celebrity royalties Anabelle Rama and Eddie Gutierrez. He starred in movies such as “Bunsong Kerubin” (1987), “Pinulot ka lang sa Lupa” (1987) and “Takbo, Bilis, Takbo” in (1987) among others. 

On Elvis’ Instagram, he posted a sweet photo of them having fun together at the beach with just a heart emoji as its caption. 

He also posted throwback photos and videos with his wife with ca profession of his undying love for her in every caption.
