MANILA, Philippines – ACTOR Gerald Anderson braved the floods and helped rescue a family stranded in waist-high water as Typhoon Carina, that enhanced southwest monsoon Habagat battered Metro Manila and nearby provinces Wednesday. 

In a video uploaded by @TmaeOsanomae on Wednesday, Anderson was seen submerged in deep flood from inside a house in Quezon City convincing a kid to come to him. He reached out his arms to the crying toddler and brought her to safety. 

“Sasama ang nanay mo, tara,” Anderson was heard saying before eventually carrying the pink-hooded child to safety.

Anderson kept convincing the child, still crying in fear. He said: “Okay ako bahala sa’yo.” 

In another post, the actor was seen submerged, almost swimming in flood waters outside.

Back in 2020, the actor also went viral when he distributed goods to typhoon victims in Cagayan and Isabela with the Philippine Coast Guard.
