Authorities conducted a siphoning simulation to recover over 1.4 million liters of industrial fuel oil from the sunken MTKR Terranova. The Senate is also set to investigate the massive oil spill caused by the tanker on August 13.
The owners of the sunken tanker recently denied allegations that it is involved in oil smuggling following allegations from the Department of Justice.
