MANILA, Philippines — Queer dating show “Sparks Camp” officially ended its second season on Wednesday night with only two pairs getting a match.

Similar to the first season, the final episode of the dating show aims to create a “spark” between the desired camper and the recipient. The recipient will then respond by indicating whether they feel a mutual spark, with campers saying either, “You are my spark” or “Sorry, but you are not my spark.”

Each camper will be called individually, and the camper who chooses them will come forward to share their “spark.”

During the show, Miggy was the first to give his sparks to Allan, which was surprising since he had been focused on Universe since the beginning. However, Allan did not reciprocate.

Next was Pipoy, who gave his sparks to Ejay, but Ejay also did not reciprocate.

Following that, Martin came in and gave his final spark to Zuher. Zuher reciprocated, making them the first pair to share mutual sparks of the final night.

“Thank you for being concerned that you might hurt me, knowing how sensitive I am and how much trust issues I have,” Zuher said.

Shortly after the Martin-Zuher match, Universe, who was Zuher’s first match in the camp, gave his spark to Paco, but Paco did not reciprocate.

Ejay also gave his spark to Paco. From the start, Ejay and Paco had been clear about their feelings for each other, assuring the audience of their mutual attraction. However, Paco declined Ejay’s spark because he had given it to Seichi.

Seichi did not give his spark to Paco.

When it was Seichi’s turn to give his spark, he chose Kyle, but Kyle did not accept it.

Kyle then gave his sparks to Allan, and they matched. They were the last pair to have a mutual spark in the camp.

“Kyle, you have made me realize that I don’t have to start imagining things when the possibility of a reality is right in front of me,” Allan said, facing Kyle.

The show was hosted by transgender woman and LGBTQIA+ community icon Mela Habijan.

Sparks Camp included various challenges designed to help campers connect with one another, with winners receiving a date as a reward.

Each episode concluded with sessions where campers chose a spark with whom they felt a connection after revealing their secrets.

The queer dating show was available on Black Sheep’s YouTube channel.
