MANILA, Philippines – DESPITE their break-up, OPM icon Rico Blanco still gave ex Maris Racal a special thanks for her contribution in the music video of his new version of the Rivermaya hit “Kisapmata” as a telecaster.

In Blanco’s official visualizer released on the singer’s YouTube page, he gave credit to everyone who helped make the video come together.

Noticeably, he gave special thanks to Mark Escueta (guitar amp), Marco Bachini (acoustic guitar), (Zild Benitez (12-string guitar) and Racal as the telecaster.

Blanco’s newest version offered a fresher take on the band’s 1996 mega hit. He made an easy techno-sounding approach to the song originally released as a rock ballad.

Fans expressed support for the singer in the comments. Most of his supporters feel that Blanco intended the song for Racal.

Earlier this month, an emotional Racal told the entertainment media that she and her longtime boyfriend have called it quits.

At 51 and 26, Blanco and Racal share a 25-year age gap but for a time, proved to the world that age doesn’t matter. They went public about their relationship in May 2021 after collaborating on a music single.
