MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Police believes fugitive televangelist Pastor Quiboloy is inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ compound in Davao City despite two failed attempts at seeing the religious leader in past operations.

“More than ever, we are very, very convinced na nandyan siya, kaya hinigpitan natin ng escape route. Alam na natin kung saan pero hindi lang natin alam kung paano mapasok,” Police B/Gen. Nicolas Torre III, PNP Regional Office 11 Director, in an interview on Teleradyo Serbisyo on Sunday night.

The PNP carried out a large-scale manhunt of Quiboloy employing 2000 police officers at the KOJC compound resulting in tensions and even death of one member due to heart attack.

Quiboloy and five other co-accused are facing human trafficking and child abuse charges filed in a Davao City court and a Pasig City court.

The operation was an enforcement of an alias warrant issued by the Pasig City court.

Despite the failed operation, the PNP said they have intelligence information which they will keep in confidentiality for now.

“We have identified the exact location… itago na lang muna sa level na yan… it’s just a matter of time,” he said.

Vice President Sara Duterte and former President Rodrigo Duterte both condemned the amount of force exerted during the operation.

Tensions broke out between police authorities and members of KOJC which resulted in the death of one over heart attack.

PNP Chief Director General Rommel Marbil believes Quiboloy could just be in an underground facility inside the church’s compound.

“Ang sinasabi po natin na we are so sure na nandoon po ang taong hinahanap natin. Not only fugitive Apollo Quiboloy, but for others, nandoon po sa loob,” Marbil said.
