MANILA, Philippines — Ahtisa Manalo is currently leading the board for the Miss Cosmo pageant with over 1 million votes.
Less than a week ago, the pageant frontrunner requested support to be voted for the “Cosmo Social Ambassador” award, which would automatically secure her a spot in the Top 21 if she wins.
Manalo is now considered a frontrunner for this year’s Miss Cosmo pageant by global pageant observers.
As of 5:36 p.m. yesterday, Manalo reported holding the lead in the challenge with a total of 1,000,500 votes.
To vote, fans need to like and follow the Miss Cosmo Facebook page. Each reaction, comment, or share on a candidate’s photo counts as one vote, but votes only count if voters have liked and followed the page.
Voting will end on September 20 at 11:59 PM (GMT+7), according to Miss Cosmo pageant.
Manalo was appointed to represent the country in Miss Cosmo in Vietnam after finishing as second runner-up in Miss Universe Philippines.
The Miss Cosmo pageant will take place from Sept. 15 to Oct. 5 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Manalo is no stranger to pageantry. She competed head-to-head with Catriona Gray during Binibining Pilipinas 2018, where she won the Bb. International crown and placed first in the international stage.
