MANILA, Philippines – The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission on Wednesday said it is considering filing charges against the Bulacan notary public claiming to have seen dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo on August 14 since information obtained from relevant international law enforcements showed proof that ex-town chief has slipped into their countries.

“Based on the information and the verified information coming from the different immigration authorities ng ating Asean (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) neighbors, we don’t believe it to be true,” PAOCC Spokesperson Winston Casio said in a Bagong Pilipinas briefing.

Casio said corroborating pieces of evidence will certainly expose the truth.

“So, inaantay lang po naming iyong iba pang mga verified information coming from our counterparts by our Department of Foreign Affairs and our Department of Justice, and once we get those, we would have enough to be able to file criminal charges against Atty. Galicia kasi lalabas doon na nagsisinungaling po talaga siya,” he said.

More cases against Guo

Casio also said that more cases will be filed by PAOCC against the missing ex-mayor once she gets back.

“So, in the next few weeks ay lalabas din po iyon. Marami na po kasing kaso, lumabas na iyong tax evasion, lumabas na iyong qualified trafficking in person, mayroon ding kaso sa Ombudsman. So, a few more cases will be filed as we proceed,” he said.

Just yesterday, Sen. Risa Hontiveros has announced that the search for Guo, her family and Katherine Cassandra Li Ong, the authorized representative of Lucky South 99 offshore gaming facility, have now been elevated to the International Criminal Police Organization.

Director Jaime Santiago of the National Bureau of Investigation  said they are still verifying the veracity of Guo’s exit. If so, they would have to tap into their international counterparts to release notices requesting for international cooperation from member countries to pin down her exact location.

“If that happens, that will be another triggering mechanism para po makuha natin iyong tinatawag na international arrest warrant or red notice galing sa Interpol,” Casio said.

The Bureau of Immigration said they have last positively tracked Guo in Indonesia. Hontiveros had earlier said she exited the Philippines to Malaysia and crossed to Singapore.
