MANILA, Philippines Actor Niño Muhlach said Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz, GMA contractors alleged to have sexually abused his son Sandro, had already apologized to him over what happened.

“Actually nakaharap ko na yung dalawa ang they apologized to me regarding what happened,” he said in an interview after appearing before the Senate panel on public information and mass media Wednesday.

Muhlach broke down when he recalled his son’s ordeal. In previous statements, the former child actor and his family have vowed to seek justice for Sandro, who right now is experiencing emotional trauma because of what happened.

“Ako tao lang ako. Diyos nga marunong magpatawad. Ako kaya ko silang patawarin, pero they have to pay for what they did,” he said.

While lawyer Maggie Abraham-Garduque, Nones and Cruz’ legal counsel, in a statement said “these allegations do not mirror the true accounts of the event,” Muhlach said the two accused have already admitted to committing the act.

“As to my understanding, yes,” when asked if the two confessed to the allegations.

The Muhlach camp already sought the help of the National Bureau of Investigation.
