MANILA, Philippines – Veteran actor Michael de Mesa too did not escape the combined wrath of Typhoon Carina and southwest monsoon Habagat and got stranded for over 22 hours on the road.

On Wednesday, at the height of the devastation of Carina and Habagat, the actor and director  shared his ordeal that began at about 2:30 p.m. when they were packed up from taping in Cainta because the situation wasn’t getting any better.

“I’m stranded, I’ve been here for five hours,” he said in the last slide of his Instagram post.

“And there’s no sign of the flood receding, oh my God. And my car is malfunctioning, nice” he said.

In his caption, the actor said he has been on the road for hours and has not eaten yet.

Many celebrity friends immediately checked on the actor through comments.

Among them were actresses Bela Padilla and Eula Valdez who both wished the actor, by the time of  their comment, was already home and safe.

The actor answered “still stranded.”

The next day, the actor made another update and said he was still in the same area and has been stranded there for over 17 hours already. The actor said anxiety was kicking in at this point because tow trucks cannot penetrate through.

“Stranded for 17 hours now coming from taping yesterday. Naiiyak na ako. The tow truck can’t get through, and my anxiety is kicking in. I just want to go home,” he said.

Finally, the actor gave an update that his car has  now been towed after more than 22 hours of being stuck. He also thanked those who expressed support and extended assistance to him.
