MANILA, Philippines — Amid the heavy rainfall brought upon by the Typhoon Enteng in the country, President Marcos said Monday that the national government will try to release the bulletin “as early as possible” for tomorrow.

“We will try to give the bulletin as early as possible for work and school tomorrow (Tuesday),” Marcos said on the sidelines of the 2024 National Peace Consciousness Month and the Commemoration of the 28th Anniversary of the 1996 Final Peace Agreement with the Moro National Liberation Front at Malacañan Palace.

Marocs told local government units to monitor the tropical cyclone and advise early for class and work suspensions as Tropical Storm Enteng is expected to bring heavy rains and strong winds until Tuesday.

“Ang instruction ko sa kanila, kung maaari bago tayo matulog, alam na natin kung may pasok bukas o hindi para makapag-adjust naman ‘yung mga tao,” Marcos said.

He said that it is important to issue these advisories early to “avoid causing inconvenience”  to the public during inclement weather conditions

The Office of the Executive Secretary issued an advisory suspending classes in the National Capital Region due to the adverse weather conditions caused by Tropical Storm Enteng. While some welcomed the announcement, many social media users expressed frustration, urging the national government to issue such advisories earlier to prevent people from rushing out during severe weather.

Latest report from the state weather bureau showed that as of 2:00 p.m., the center of tropical storm Enteng made landfall in the vicinity of Casiguran Aurora.

The tropical storm has sustained its winds of up to 85 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 105 km/h
