MANILA, Philippines — Government personnel who aided the departure of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo will be held accountable adding that these culprits will be exposed for betraying Filipinos’ trust, President Marcos Jr. said Wednesday.

“The departure of Alice Guo has laid bare the corruption that undermines our justice system and erodes public trust,” President Marcos said in a statement.

“Let me be clear: Heads will roll,” he said.

President Marcos said the administration would be compelled to “expose the culprits who have betrayed the people’s trust and aided” in Guo’s departure.

The chief executive announced that a comprehensive investigation is already in progress, with those responsible facing immediate suspension and full legal accountability.

There is no place in this government for anyone who prioritizes personal gain over serving the Filipino people with honor, integrity, and justice, he said.

The Office of the President has ordered the Department of Justice and the Department of Foreign Affairs to revoke the Philippine passports of Guo, her family, and the businesswoman Cassandra Ong linked to a Philippine Online Gaming Operator.

Guo reportedly left the Philippines on July 19, traveling to Singapore and then to Indonesia using her Philippine passport.

Guo allegedly met her parents, Lin Wen Yi and Guo ZianZhong in Singapore.

The Bureau of Immigration reported that Guo’s departure was not recorded in their database, indicating that she may have left the country “illegally.”

Guo is facing human trafficking charges related to her connections with a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) company in Bamban, Tarlac, where she served as town mayor before she was dismissed.
