MANILA, Philippines – Now that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has been sacked, it’s time to chase after those who aided her escape and President Marcos is keeping his word that heads will roll.
As to who will be fired, “You’ll find out soon enough,” he said in an ambush interview.
“All of those who are implicated in assisting Alice Guo to leave the Philippines illegally as a fugitive from justice will certainly pay the price. Ang tanong niyo, sino sisibakin? Hindi lang namin sila sisibakin, kakasuhan pa namin sila dahil ang kanilang ginawa ay labag sa batas at against all of the interests of the Philippine judicial system,” Marcos said.
Marcos said the government is already finalizing arrangements for the return of Guo back to the country some time today.
The President has earlier said he was purposefully “kept in the dark” by the Bureau of Immigration about Guo’s escape. He also said that he already has a “very good idea” on who to sack over the incident.
Guo was arrested in Tangerang City, Jakarta, Indonesia today, September 4 and her return is now being facilitated by Philippine and Indonesian authorities.
“We’re already finalizing the arrangements for the return of Alice Guo back to the Philippines some time today,” he said.
