MANILA, Philippines — The Manila City government announced Monday that several roads in the city will be closed for the upcoming 2024 Bar Examinations. 

The Bar Examinations are scheduled on September 8, 11, and 15 according to the Supreme Court.

In an advisory, the Manila City government said that the following roads and routes will be closed during the upcoming Bar Examinations.

September 8 and 11 (Sunday and Wednesday)

  • Assisted traffic along España Blvd (two westbound lanes from Lacson Avenue to Padre Noval Street) from 2AM to 8AM and 3PM to 7PM for drop-off and pick-up purposes only.
  • Road closure at Dapitan Street (from Lacson Avenue to Padre Noval Street) from 2AM to 7PM

September 15 (Sunday)

  • Assisted traffic along España Blvd (two westbound lanes from Lacson Avenue to Padre Noval Street) from 2AM to 8AM
  • Road closure at España Boulevard (all westbound lanes from Lacson Avenue to Padre Noval Street) from 3PM to 7PM.
  • Road closure at Dapitan Street (from Lacson Avenue to Padre Noval Street) from 2AM to 7PM

“The public is advised to take alternate routes during the Bar Examination,” the Manila City government said.

The Court has so far received a total of 12,246 applications for the 2024 Philippine Bar Examinations. 

It also said that the High Court is currently finalizing the list of Local Testing Centers in the following cities:

NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION

1. City of Manila 

2. Muntinlupa City 

3. Pasay City

4. Quezon City

5. Taguig City

LUZON

1. Baguio City

2. Naga City

VISAYAS

1. Cebu City

2. Iloilo City

3. Tacloban City

MINDANAO

1. Cagayan de Oro City

2. Davao City
