MANILA, Philippines – The Bureau of Immigration on Tuesday has confirmed that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice is now in Indonesia over a month after she left the Philippines.

According to BI Spokesperson Dana Sandoval, Guo traveled from  the Philippines to Malaysia on July 16 and from Singapore sneaked into Indonesia on August 18.

“Sa atin pong pagbantay sa mga counterpart intelligence information, nalaman natin nasa Indonesia ngayon. Tumawid siya from Singapore the other day, August 18,” Sandoval said in an interview on  Super Radyo dzBB.

The BI is now backtracking Guo’s travel history to determine how she possibly could have exited the country including those who helped her escape.

“Nagba-backtrack tayo sa dinaanan ni Mayor Guo kung paano siya nakalabas ng bansa. From there, malalaman natin kung sino ang mga individuals responsible in that area,” she said.

Justice Secretary Boying Remulla vowed to pin down government officials who helped Guo escape. He issued a stern warning to personnel who may have had a hand at the ex-mayor’s departure to come out or “heads will roll and all hell will break loose.”

Sen. Risa Hontiveros on Monday revealed that Guo was already out of the country since July 18, the reason why she never surfaced in hearings on illegal offshore gaming operations.

Sandoval said cancellation of Guo’s travel documents will result in her deportation.

“Kung makakansenla ang kaniyang travel documents and the person will be repatriated, ibabalik siya sa Pilipinas kung wala na siyang valid travel documents. We’re continuously monitoring ‘yung movements niya out of the country,” Sandoval said.

The senator called on the Department of Foreign Affairs to cancel Guo’s Philippine passport for easier tracking of her location.

The Philippine National Police said it is working through diplomatic channels to bring Guo back to the country.

Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said the Guo may have slipped outside of the country without passing through Immigration.

Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian is firm that the government will get a conviction in the cases pending on the former mayor for her alleged involvement in various criminal activities as well as her blatant dishonesty in congressional hearings.

Lawyer Stephen David however said Guo, whom he last talked to just recently assured him that she is “100% in the Philippines.”

Proving this, according to David is the notary public’s testimony that Gup personally appeared to his office for notarization of her counter affidavit requesting to dismiss her qualified human trafficking case.
