MANILA, Philippines – Sightings of suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo were reported in Bulacan province, according to the National Bureau of Investigation.

During the hearing on illegal offshore gaming operators, NBI Assistant Director Angelito Magno informed the committee on women and children that they were informed about the lead but their operation proved futile after seeing no Alice Guo in the area.

“We were informed by our assets prior to the issuance of the warrant of arrest, there are some sightings in Bulacan,” Magno said.

“However, when the team went to the possible locations of the sightings, as of now, nalaman po natin na wala naman pong nahuli or nakita po (we found out that no one was caught or discovered),” he said.

Guo’s former accountant, Nancy Gamo, who was the only one arrested by the Senate operatives, testified that the mayor had an active involvement in POGO operations in Bamban.

In fact, reports about her applying for a license to operate for raided POGO companies Hong Sheng Gaming Technology Inc. and Zun Yuan Technologies Inc. are in fact true.

According to Gamo, the mayor instructed her to incorporate her businesses, some operational, some not, including the POGO companies.

Guo still remains at large.
