CARLOS Yulo rewrites history in just over 24 hours! 

Hot off his first Olympic gold in the floor exercises, the champion Filipino gymnast sent every Filipino jumping from his seat screaming after he bagged his second gold in the vault finals of men’s artistic gymnastics at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday (Manila time) at the Bercy Arena. 

This makes him the first Filipino athlete to win multiple medals in a single Olympics and the first to win two golds. 

He scored 15.116 for his two vaults in the finals where he raised the difficulty level of his first attempt overtaking Great Britain’s Harry Hepworth who came in second with 14.949.

Great Britain’s Jake Jarman ranked third with 14.933 while Artur Davtyan of Armenia came in last with 14.966.

The 24-year-old gymnast on Saturday brought home the Philippines second Olympic gold after nailing an impressive 15.166 score in the floor exercises finals. 

Hidilyn Diaz brought home the Philippines’ first-ever gold medal when she scored the championship in the 2020 Summer Olympics for the women’s 55 kg category for weightlifting.
