A father’s love is never ending, indeed.
Despite their long standing feud, actor Dennis Padilla still showed love and support for estranged daughter Julia Barretto by promoting her reunion movie with former love team partner Joshua Garcia on the former’s social media.
Padilla dedicated a series of posts on Instagram promoting “Un/Happy For You” where Barretto and Garcia star as real life exes.
In one of Padilla’s posts, he said “Yes… Aug. 14 na po… Pls watch guyzzzz… Solid Julia Joshua Tandem.”
He made a similar post using another publicity material with the caption, “Malapit na po ipalabas ang reunion movie ni Julia n Joshua… Pls. Watch… They will make you laugh… Cry… And fall in love again… Solid…”
Padilla has long been estranged with children Julia, Claudia and Leon with ex-wife Marjorie for years now.
At one point, Julia revealed she was “traumatized” with her past relationship with her father. As for Padilla, what really hurt him the most was when Barretto went to court to legally remove the actor’s surname Baldivia.
Since falling out with his children, Padilla has been trying to reach out to them. There were a few occasions however that they would contact him.
Padilla and Marjorie separated in 2007. The actor himself admitted that he was the one to blame for the end of their marriage.
The comedian soon after involved himself again in another relationship, Filipino-Australian Linda Marie Gorton but also parted ways in 2020.
