MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has confirmed that the fingerprints of suspended Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo matched with Chinese woman Guo Hua Ping, Senator Risa Hontiveros said Thursday.

“The NBI has confirmed that the fingerprints of Mayor Alice Guo and Guo Hua Ping match, Hontiveros said.

“Ibig sabihin, they are the fingerprints of one & the same person,” she said.

She likewise noted that Guo is “masquerading as [a] Filipino citizen to facilitate crimes allegedly being committed by Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

The lawmaker cited that this is a piece of firm evidence to remove Guo from public office as it is a grave disrespect not only to local voters in Bamban but also to the Philippine government.

“Ito na ang pinakamabigat na ebidensya para palayasin na sa pwesto si ‘Mayor Alice,’” she said.

Hontiveros urged the Office of the Solicitor General to promptly initiate a quo warranto case against her, stressing the need for accountability regarding the crimes attributed to her and her POGO hub.

“I call on the Office of the Solicitor General to expedite its filing of a quo warranto case against her. Dapat mapanagot siya sa lahat ng krimen na ginawa niya at ng kanyang POGO hub,” she said.

Hontiveros also pointed out that the Senate investigation into Guo’s case will proceed and soon reveal how much she has deceived the public.

“Guo Hua Ping, soon, we will know the full extent of your deception. Magpapatuloy ang aming imbestigasyon sa Senado,” she said.

Guo faced scrutiny after the Senate revealed her alleged links to Zun Yuan Technology, an illegal POGO in Bamban, Tarlac.

However, Guo vehemently denied all accusations against her, including being accused of being a Chinese spy, stating to probers that she is a Filipino who grew up on a farm.
