MANILA, Philippines – THE Caloocan City Police on Friday quashed rumors that a serial killer is roaming around the city and is nothing but “fake news.”
“Ang inyo pong Caloocan City Police Station ay kinokondena o pinasisinungalingan ang kumakalat na maling balita sa social media na may gumagalang serial killer sa lungsod ng Caloocan,” it said in a Facebook post.
The Caloocan Police encouraged everyone to be discerning of things seen on baseless posts on social media.
City authorities are now on the lookout for the spreaders of the false information.
