MANILA, Philippines – A Corrections officer and two others were nabbed by government agents during a buy-bust operation in Paranaque City, Friday, that led to the confiscation of prohibited drugs estimated to be worth P68 million pesos.
After a thorough surveillance, operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Special Enforcement Services (SES) along with Regional Office – National Capital Region RO-NCR), Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group – Intelligence and Foreign Liaison Division (IFLD) and Paranaque City Police StationSub-Station 3 conducted an entrapment operation in Skate Park, Bulungan, Parañaque City around 6:20 pm Friday.
Three individuals were arrested from the operation.
Paul Patrick Toledo, 27 years old, a Correction Officer I of the Bureau of Corrections and resident of Laon Laan, Sampaloc, Manila; Romeo Guerrero, alias Boy Tato, 34, a truck driver from Parañaque City; and Reynold Teodoro, 27, a security guard from Algeciras, Manila.
Recovered from them were 10 kilograms of shabu worth Php 68 million, two vehicles, a pistol loaded with live ammunition and mobile phones.
Toledo, Guerrero and Teodoro will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
