MANILA, Philippines – The baptismal certificates of the brothers of suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, are also fake.

Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian said the discovery of this new loophole into the identity of the Guo family was made when his office checked with the San Roque Parish Church in Caloocan where Seimen and Wesley Guo’s baptism were registered as declared in the baptismal certificates obtained by the senator.

“We went to that parish to ask for details and they issued a negative certificate na walang ganoong baptismal certificate. So in other words spurious, fake,” Gatchalian said in the Senate Blue Ribbon committee hearing which investigates the continued proliferation and use of unauthorized government documents by foreign nationals.

In a letter dated June 6, Fr. Leo Pepito, the Parochial vicar of Caloocan, denied issuing such baptismal certificates.

“In reference to your request for a copy of the baptismal certificates… please be informed that we did not find any baptismal records of the said individuals,” said Fr. Pepito.

The records show that Seimen Guo and Wesley Guo were both born in Caloocan to father “Angelito Guo” and mother “Amelia Leal.”

The Senate has already issued a warrant for the arrest of Guo, Seimen, Wesley as well as her father and alleged Chinese mother for their continued failure to appear before the hearing on illegal offshore gaming operations.
