MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment is now “preparing” for the possible phaseout of the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hubs as controversies pressed the latter’s operation in the country. “I can’t say that we are ready yet. But we are preparing for it,” Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma said in a Palace briefing. (PAGCOR) revealed that former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque is the “legal head” of the raided illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Pampanga which the latter denied thereafter.
