MANILA, Philippines – Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor will finally be returned to the Philippines tonight, September 5 via a chartered flight from Indonesia according to Sen. Raffy Tulfo.
“Inaasahang darating sa Pilipinas mula Jakarta, Indonesia mamayang 6:18 PM si dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo o Guo Hua Ping sakay ng chartered flight RP-C6188,” Tulfo said in a text message to Senate media Thursday.
“Kasama niya sa nasabing flight sina DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos at PNP Chief PGen. Rommel Marbil,” he said.
Guo was arrested in Tangerang City, Jakarta Indonesia last Tuesday. The Department of Justice had earlier said there have been reports that the Indonesian government wants to swap Guo for an Australian national wanted in their country for drug charges adding up to the possibility of delay of Guo’ return.
The former town chief will be turned over to the Senate where she shall serve her standing warrant after processing of the Bureau of Immigration and the National Bureau of Investigation
