MANILA, Philippines – A buy-bust operation Tuesday in Manila resulted in the arrest of an 11th grade student found to have been carrying over a million worth of shabu or crystal meth, according to the Manila Police District.
The police said the suspect was intercepted by authorities along Barangay 463, Zone 46 in Sampaloc around 6:40 a.m.
Seized from him were two small sachets containing the contraband as well as two large plastic sachets with suspected shabu weighing more or less 150 grams, amounting to P1,020,000.
Police said the suspect was caught selling one small plastic sachet containing suspected drugs. An operative posted as a buyer caught the minor in the act.
The boy is now under police custody and will be facing complaints for violating Section 5 and Section 11 of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
